We have to admit that we have been fairly analog for an online store, but Sopris 2.0 is our attempt to change that. And although Charlie has begun to send and receive emails, we thought it would be best if we left the management of our online world to someone who is, frankly, not such a Luddite. So Charlie’s daughter, Alexa Metrick, has taken on the role of bringing us online.
This new website launched at the end of August 2009 and it is the first time we have been able to allow our customers to place their orders online. We are currently using PayPal to process orders (you don’t need to have a PayPal account to order), but will consider other methods if customer feedback indicates that we should.
We periodically send out email updates about our line of products and services; click here to subscribe. We have also begun to explore the online lama communities and networks. Alexa is a member of Lama Journal and we have a fan page on Facebook, as well as a Flickr group where you can upload photos of your animals in Sopris gear. We have started adding llama training tip videos to our YouTube Channel, and we will be adding many more in the coming months.
If you like the direction we’re headed, please drop us a line and let us know. And if there’s something we should be doing that we’re not, be sure to let us know about that, too.
